Born and raised in Philadelphia, Ahmad Ibrahim is the owner & head coach of Elite Kickboxing Gym.

He began training in Tae Kwon Do in 2000 at just five years old, dedicating over 11 years to the discipline and eventually earning his 2nd-degree black belt. Raised in a martial arts family, Ahmad wasn’t initially drawn to the sport. However, as he grew older, he came to recognize the profound impact it had on his life.

In September 2021, Ahmad became a WBC National Champion and captured the Freedom Fighter Promotions World Title. Over the course of his career, he has earned approximately 18 titles across both professional and amateur competition, including two WKA gold medals, one IFMA gold medal, and one IFMA bronze medal representing Team USA.

One of his most meaningful achievements was competing at Madison Square Garden, as well as becoming the first Palestinian to compete in Glory Kickboxing at the time.

Marisol Hernández brings a rare combination of discipline, grit, and purpose to the Elite Kickboxing Club.

At 35, she has dedicated the past four years to training in Muay Thai, quickly rising through the ranks to become a six-time title holder.

Her accolades include the 2022 IKF Novice Championship, two USMTO B Class titles, a USMTO A Class title, the Freedom National Championship, and the Cali Muay Thai 108 lb title. These titles show an impressive run that reflects both her work ethic as well as her competitive edge.

For Marisol, Muay Thai is more than a sport. It is a proving ground. She thrives on the physical and mental demands and she embraces the discipline that is required to push beyond limits and sharpen her strengths. Thanks to the sport’s intensity and uniqueness, she values how muay thai challenges her in ways few other things can.

Looking ahead, Marisol is focused on longevity and impact. She aims to continue training for as long as her body allows with her sights set on earning at least 10 championship belts. She also seeks to play an active role in mentoring the next generation of fighters with a commitment to lifting others along the way.

Assistant Youth Coach Madelyn Kaufman

At just 13 years old, Madelyn “the captain” Kaufman is already making a powerful name for herself in the world of Muay Thai. A dedicated athlete since the age of six, she has grown into a six-time champion, earning multiple belts and titles along the way.

Among her most notable achievements is earning gold at the WBC Pan Am games and most recently winning Grand Nationals at USA Muay Thai—an accomplishment that secured her spot on Team USA.

Maddie’s path is Muay Thai has been built on years of discipline, hard work, and a commitment to improvement. What she loves most about the sport is not just the competition, but the personal growth it demands. Every training session, she believes, is an opportunity to push herself further, striving to be better than she was the day before. That mindset has shaped her into both a fierce competitor and a strong role model.

Maddie is passionate about giving back and enjoys helping teach the next generation of young athletes at Elite. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and inspiring others to develop confidence, discipline, and resilience through the sport.

Maddie’s goals are clear in this sport: win gold at the IFMA Youth World Championships and ultimately pursue a professional career in Muay Thai.

Given her drive, talent, and love for the sport, there’s no doubt she is just getting started.

Assistant Youth Coach Omar Gracia

At just 15 years old, Omar Garcia has already built a strong foundation in Muay Thai, training for the past four years with dedication and discipline. His commitment to the sport has earned him two C-Class belts and one B-Class belt through USMTO competition, and international experience marking him as a rising talent to watch.

For Omar, Muay Thai is more than just a sport—it’s a life-changing journey. Through his training, he has developed not only physical skill, but also mental toughness, confidence, and a stronger sense of character. The individual nature of Muay Thai is what drives him most; when he steps into the ring, it’s all on him, pushing him to grow and improve every day.

Outside of his own training and competition, Omar takes pride in giving back to the gym community. He enjoys helping coach and mentor the younger generation of Muay Thai athletes, working with kids to build their skills, confidence, and love for the sport. Whether he’s holding pads, offering encouragement, or leading by example, Omar is passionate about helping the next generation learn and grow both inside and outside the gym.

Looking ahead, Omar is focused on continuing to climb the ranks, earning more titles, and ultimately competing at the IFMA level. With his passion and determination, he represents the next generation of fighters at Elite Kickboxing Gym.

Assistant Coach Jin D. O'donoghue

in Dickson O’Donoghue is a rising fighter here at Elite. His rapid progression in the sport is due to both his natural talent and his dedication.

At just 20 years old, he has already accumulated 2½ years of training and competition experience. He has made a strong mark on the amateur circuit with championship victories at the USMTO Fall 2024 C-Class Tournament and the USMTO Spring 2026 B-Class Tournament.

Jin’s journey into the sport has been deeply personal. As a child, martial arts were the only sport that truly resonated with him, but as he grew older, he found himself drifting toward a path lacking direction and accountability. That trajectory changed when he stepped into the Elite gym for the first time.

Through training and competition, he discovered a renewed sense of purpose and self-accomplishment—one that pushed him to make better choices and take ownership of his future.

The gym environment and the Elite community have influenced in his life. Surrounded by disciplined, driven individuals, he has found training partners as well as a family that continues to challenge and support him daily.

Looking ahead, Jin is focused on continuing to grow within the sport, both as a competitor and as a contributor to the muay thai community. He hopes to compete at the highest levels nationally and internationally, while also giving back through education and mentorship. More than anything, Jin is driven by the desire to push beyond his own expectations.
